About a collector of bullion coins
One of my classmates was a keen collector of bullion coins. Once he even made a presentation about his collection at school, and my jaw almost dropped. He showed us seven albums of gold bullion, old and new, coming from all parts of the world. I did not believe he had collected all of them during his short life, but he did not hide the fact that his father and grandfather were experienced collectors as well. A few years later, we went to the same secondary school. He was still focused on his collection. Girls were our favourite topis o discussion at that time, of course, but not for him. Because of that, not everybody liked him, and most kids just tended to ingore him. But he did not look worried and went on collecting his coins. Then he suddenly disappeared. We heard that his family had moved abroad. Nobody really discussed that much, we just quickly forgot about him. Last summer I visited Greece with my girlfriend. We were doing some shopping on one of the markets in Athens when I saw him. I recognised him at once. There was still something in his gestures and the way he dressed that caught my eye. He knew who I was, too. It turned out that he was living in Athens with his girlfriend, a teacher of History. He still collected bullion coins, I needn"t have asked.
